Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy sessions are one-on-one tailored to each client’s unique needs, focusing on personal growth, emotional healing, and developing coping strategies in a supportive and confidential environment. The first session is free.

Group Therapy

My group therapy sessions offer a collaborative space where clients can share their experiences, gain insights from others, and work together on common challenges under my guidance to foster mutual support and healing.

Marital Reconciliation

By facilitating marital reconciliation, I help couples overcome conflict, improve communication and rebuild trust by working with both partners to promote mutual understanding and strengthen their relationship.

Family Therapy

In family therapy, I work with all family members to address and resolve conflicts, improve relationships and increase communication in an effort to create a more cohesive and supportive family dynamic for the long term.

Online counseling may seem complicated to grasp at first.  Some may say it is even undesirable.  However, my experience has proven that most prefer seeing a counselor from the privacy of their own home, where they do not have to appear at some counselor’s office and possibly meet someone they know there. In counseling online, individuals and couples can see their counselor even when there is inclement weather and the roads are hazardous. You have only to click on a link provided by the counselor, and in seconds, you’re connected with someone who can help.

One review of several studies found that online therapy was just as effective as in-person therapy in treating disorders, much the same as in-person therapy. Other reviews found that online CBT was equally effective as a face-to-face treatment for panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. Online therapy is even shown to be effective in reducing problem gambling behaviors. It works well with couples therapy, as has been my own experience.

Rural inhabitants located off the beaten path may benefit from online therapy. Those living in remote areas may not have access to transportation, may have to spend undesirable amounts of money to attend counseling, or may just not want to drive to a far-away office in another town.
Having to drive long distances and take significant time out of a busy schedule to seek in-person therapy can be a burden for people in need of help. For those with reliable internet access, online therapy gives you relatively quick and easy access to treatment that may not have been possible or convenient otherwise.

My experience shows that people are more comfortable having sessions online. Access to telehealth makes possible what may once have seemed inconvenient and even impossible. Access to healthcare online makes the stigma of appearing in a mental health facility a non-issue. It can make the possibility of counseling work for those who would otherwise never darken the door of a counseling office.
